3-style 5BLD
On the 5×5 blindfolded, X and T centres, corners, midges and wings are put back three at a time from their buffer (Ubr, Ur, UBR, DF, DFr). Each case is a pair of Speffz letters and is solved by a commutator. The cases load group by group.
2,572 cases · 7,680 algorithms
The commutators are not given as optimal: the page gives the length of each.
The application's 3-style catalog: computed commutators and commutators published by the community (the BLDDB database), all checked again.
How to read this page
- Each case is drawn on the cube's net: the top above the front face, then left, front, right and back, the bottom below. The buffer is circled, the targets carry their letter.
- Colours of the cube in the application; the stickers the case does not move are faded.
- Lengths: each move counts 1, an inner slice 2, a rotation 0. The "setup" presents the puzzle as drawn and does not count.
- In each case, the commutators are sorted from the easiest to the hardest to execute (ease score, lower is easier); the bracket writing gives their structure.
- "Play" starts from the case (the inverse of the algorithm applied to the solved cube) and runs the algorithm on the 3D cube.
- Speffz letters. A pair reads buffer, then first target, then second target: the buffer piece goes to the first target, that one to the second, and the second comes back to the buffer.
- Twists: the corners are numbered 1 ULB, 2 UBR, 3 URF, 4 UFL, 5 DLF, 6 DFR, 7 DRB, 8 DBL; "i" marks the other direction. A flipped edge is written as its letter doubled.
